"Atong G. was 16 when relatives forced her to marry a 50-year-old man.

I did not know him before. I did not love him. I told my family, “I don’t want this man.” My people said,


“This old man can feed us, you will marry him”.

Mary eloped with her husband when she was 14. Her husband beat her severely and stabbed her for talking to another boy. As a result, she lost the use of her right hand. When her husband took her to the police station and accused her of adultery, the police caned her as punishment. Her husband was never charged for assaulting her. Mary now lives with her uncle.

In South Sudan 48 percent of girls between 15 and 19 are married. Marriage shapes the experiences, status, and security of South Sudanese women, and is at the center of many violations of their rights, with some marrying as young as age 12.

compassion, love, friendship, humour, harmony throughout uncontrolled chaos, social rights, equality, difference, hope, ... HAPPINESS - I believe these are some of mine.

para garantir que não há - ou que se reduzem as hipóteses de haver - tiroteios e assassínios em massa nas escolas, cinemas e outros locais da américa.
para tentar que haja menos facilidade em adquirir e ter armas de fogo.

estes indianos são doidos

parece que em Nova Déli, a cada 18h (segundo SIC Notícias) (ou 20 minutos??, segundo o artigo do i - link abaixo), uma mulher é violada.
parece que as agências de defesa dos direitos femininos têm lutado por evidenciar e acabar contra esta situação, sem efeito.

uma estudante de 23 anos foi violada por um grupo de homens (seis, segundo li).
foi violada sexualmente e agredida fisicamente, tendo ficado consequentemente em má condição física.
tão má condição física que ficou internada nos cuidados intensivos.
tão má condição física que faleceu.
não vou aqui sequer referir a condição psicológica dela.

o certo é que, com a sua morte, a anónima tornou-se um símbolo.
para se mudar efetivamente a situação. para proteger e securizar as mulheres, que até atualmente são aparentemente consideradas culpadas e humilhadas de cada vez que são molestadas. mulheres, jovens, meninas.

para lidar com os homens perpetradores deste crime hediondo:
"Hours after the victim died early on Saturday, Indian police charged six men who had been arrested in connection with the attack with murder, adding to accusations that they beat and gang raped the woman."
